1. Data controller
The controller of the personal data collected through this website is JUVENT CAMP, S.A. ("HYPE Barcelona"), with tax ID A-08783581 and registered address at C/ Almagro, 15, 4.º, 28010 Madrid. For any questions about this policy, you can write to hypeclubbcn@gmail.com.
2. What data we collect
When you create an account or use Hype Club we collect: full name, email, password (stored encrypted), and optionally your date of birth and phone number. Using the site also generates data derived from your activity: check-in and nights history, Points balance and transactions, redeemed rewards and shop orders. If you buy tickets or book through external services (e.g. Fourvenues), that data is handled directly by that provider under its own privacy policy.
3. Why we process your data
We use your data to: manage your user account and your participation in Hype Club (nights and Points accrual, levels, rewards); manage your shop orders; respond to your enquiries; verify you meet the minimum age to enter the venue; and, only if you've checked the corresponding box, send you marketing communications about HYPE events and promotions. We never enable marketing communications without your explicit consent.
4. Legal basis
The legal basis for processing your data is the performance of the contractual relationship arising from your registration and participation in Hype Club (GDPR art. 6.1.b); the explicit consent you give by voluntarily checking the marketing communications box (GDPR art. 6.1.a), which you can withdraw at any time without affecting the rest of the service; and compliance with legal obligations applicable to nightlife venues, such as verifying the minimum entry age.
5. Minors
HYPE Barcelona is a nightlife venue with a minimum entry age (see the Info page for day-specific details). We do not target our services at minors below the applicable minimum entry age and do not knowingly collect their data. If we become aware that an account was created in breach of this requirement, we will cancel it.
6. Retention period
We keep your data for as long as your Hype Club account stays active. If you request account deletion, we will delete or anonymise your personal data, except where we must retain certain data (e.g. billing records) for the periods required by applicable tax and commercial regulations.
7. Recipients and data processors
Your data is hosted and processed through the following data processors (GDPR art. 28), which may involve an international transfer of data outside the European Economic Area under the appropriate GDPR safeguards (standard contractual clauses): Supabase, our database, authentication and file storage infrastructure provider; Stripe, to process card payments made in the Hype Shop (we never store your card details on our own servers); and OpenAI, if you use the site's virtual assistant, to which the messages you type in the chat are sent in order to generate a reply. We do not sell or share your data with third parties for commercial purposes.
8. Your rights
You can exercise your rights of access, rectification, erasure, objection, restriction of processing and data portability at any time, as well as withdraw your consent to marketing communications, by writing to hypeclubbcn@gmail.com or from the "Settings" section of your account. You also have the right to file a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency (www.aepd.es) if you believe your data isn't being processed in accordance with the law.
9. Security
We apply appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data against unauthorised access, loss or alteration, including password encryption, role-based access control and database-level security policies (Row Level Security).
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this privacy policy to reflect legislative changes or changes to our services. Any relevant changes will be published on this same page along with the last-updated date.
